Logistics Specialist - European distribution

The Role:

AMD International Sales & Service is looking for an experienced Logistics Professional with experience in freight forwarding/warehousing, with knowledge of Import and Export in the European Union. This person will strengthen the small AMD team located in the Netherlands (Hoofddorp). The Team is responsible for continuous improvement efforts in European Logistics, as part of the greater Global Logistics team.

The main responsibility is the distribution of finished goods in EMEA region and support of Sales and Marketing flows. The Dutch team actively leads outsourced Logistics Distribution points and partners in the Netherlands, Czech Republic and Germany—and assists with Customs, Warehousing and Transportation matters.

The team serves as liaison between internal AMD stakeholders, Customer warehouses and the partners who operationally manage storage and moving AMD product. In addition, the team has administrative responsibility for financial auditing, filing and reporting, in close contact with teams in European headquarter - located in Munich, Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

All product movements in Europe

  • Review Daily updates Data-logs NL + CZ. Inbound and Outbound freight tracking.
  • Review in-transit NL + CZ and active follow ups.
  • Customer service - address customer issues/questions.
  • Ensure download all digital invoices + PODs for audit purposes, chase refunds on shipments that did not meet requirements.

Financial / Reporting data

  • Review (Approve/Audit) exceptions and process weekly payment flow in our Freight Audit and Pay software tool for Netherlands and Czech.
  • Ensure re-charges are processed for several internal stakeholders.
  • Review and approve all European Logistics Invoicing.
  • Process some local manual invoices
  • Liaison between Account Payable and suppliers/vendors
  • Support VAT reporting Netherlands and Czech
  • Support Waste reporting Germany.
  • Support Intrastate reporting - First week Calendar Month (NL + CZ)
  • Prepare Monthly Accruals

Preferred Experience:

Candidates must have proven experience in the industry (shipper or forwarding side), in at least one of the earlier mentioned fields.

You must be fluent in spoken and written English. Fluency in Dutch is strongly preferred. Knowledge of German and Czech language is helpful.

Experience with SAP software is a plus.
