Global Regulatory Affairs


We are searching for a Senior Manager, Global Regulatory Affairs to represent AMD and our interests in regulatory matters spanning the design and production of our products and operation of our supply chain. The role will interact heavily with customers, government officials, and AMD engineers and business teams on regulatory topics related to product environmental design, circular economy, and responsible business practices. The role will include advocacy, strategy development, relationship management, and contribution to corporate thought leadership.


Our ideal candidate will possess strong communication, teamwork, and skills, as well as experience advocating before regulatory bodies on topics related to the design, manufacturing, or packaging of products. They will also need to be a skilled relationship builder and negotiator. Collaboration and the ability to influence are critical to success in this role. This individual should possess a high level of integrity, be motivated, capable of effectively working with persons in other countries, and able to efficiently lead sophisticated situations.


  • Act as a subject matter expert on regulatory affairs relevant to product environmental design initiatives and the identification of standard methodologies
  • In collaboration with internal technical specialists and engineers, analyze global environmental regulations and initiatives (e.g. product energy efficiency, chemical restrictions, circular economy, end of life requirements, government procurement); assess the impact on AMD product design, processes, supply chain, and customers; and advocate AMD’s interests directly and/or within the industry
  • Prioritize and lead global cross-functional teams involving representatives in engineering, business units, government affairs worldwide, corporate responsibility, legal, and sales/marketing to craft and implement solutions
  • Engage and represent AMD’s interests with customers, government officials and industry trade associations
  • Identify roadblocks and inefficiencies in existing tools and ecosystems, plan and implement processes/ tools to remove them
  • Build and present documentation, messaging, and briefings to internal and external audiences


  • proven experience in regulatory affairs, preferably on a worldwide basis
  • demonstrated ability working across functions and with external partners
  • Experience working for a multi-national company
  • Solid understanding of environmental design topics applicable to technology-related products
  • Outstanding written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Proficient verbal and written English
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects
  • Flexibility in working hours with the ability to travel 10% of time


Bachelor of Science or Arts, or higher, in Environmental Science, Political Science, Engineering or Computer Science
