Advanced Level Packaging Forecasting Analyst – 162541


The ALP Forecasting Analyst will be the central owner for all forecasts and supply versus Capacity for Advanced Level Packaging to support AMD Growth in this key strategic area.

The Person:

The candidate should be able to consult with a CFT up and down the chain to provide an accurate forecast and work to close gaps where they exist.


  • Generate Advanced Packaging Backend wafer forecasts to secure long term capacity reservations with Fab supplier
    • Use latest MOF to calculate ALP forecasts at a wafer level.
    • Consult with engineering teams across BU to include such forecast
    • Use latest planning parameters from FPP and/or SPP to create above mentioned forecast
  • Work with GPO to provide forecast to TSMC and upon receipt of capacity commits provide delta analysis of demand versus capacity
  • Maintain historical forecasts and assumptions and ability to explain the revision changes
  • Also work with Wafer forecasting team to bridge the individual wafers plan versus the ALP Forecast to identify gaps
  • Upon this work with NPI teams/Product Planning/Wafer teams/GPO and BU to close on the starts requirement to consume all the capacity
  • Improve forecasting process through automation projects
  • Be the key owner for all forecast related queries and presentation packages to management with regards ALP



  • Experience in a fast-paced semiconductor company
  • Manufacturing knowledge
  • Advanced Supply Chain analysis skills
  • Experience with part data management (PDM) and material requirement planning (MRP) systems
  • Familiarity with MOF/LRP, CIM, Rapid Response, Capacity Planning
  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong multi-tasking ability
  • Meticulous
  • Strong adaptability to dynamic situations
  • Comfortable working in a challenging environment
  • Executive level presentation skills.
  • Schedule driven
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power BI
  • Collaborative



Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering preferred
