The Role:

The ideal candidate is passionate about responsible sourcing and resilient supply chains possessing a strong aptitude in managing data and databases and communicating status. Actively contributing as part of a Systems and Processes team, the incumbent will work with procurement, supply chain and external manufacturing operations professionals to establish and maintain high-quality processes enabling and demonstrating AMD’s compliance to various Corporate and Social Responsibility requirements. Local, within-function improvement opportunities will be identified and implemented.

The Person:

This position requires a self-starter with process, data management and documentation skills who will quickly develop clear compliance status and contribute to a team-oriented and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate and Social Responsibility
  • Handles Conflict Minerals compliance and compliance database. Responds to written customer inquiries for status.
  • At direction of manager, prepares and produces content for any customer audits.
  • Distributes, records and reports on annual Supplier Assurance Letter process
  • Maintains business continuity process documentation and handles routine customer and general external inquiries.
  • Procurement Process Documentation (ISO), Compliance and Database Management (QuEST)
  • Maintain and process document database requests related to procurement specifications
  • Evaluate process specifications and assess compliance to specifications
  • Support and assist procurement personnel where appropriate to achieve specification deliverables and documentation evidence (e.g., risk assessments, supplier business reviews, ISO database management)
  • Compliance Process Improvement
  • Conducts within-function continuous improvement at direction of manager in compliance data, reference materials, identified process deliverable per plan.
  • Develops skills to support Procurement function communication and collaboration tools. (Office 365/Teams/SharePoint, etc.)

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge/experience using SAP Enterprise software
  • Desire /aptitude for learning host-based software tools (Assent, Adobe, Oracle Agile PLM, others as identified)
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Project Management skills
  • Upbeat self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Proven aptitude handling data systems and managing data

Academic Credentials:

  • B.S. in Business Administration
