Platform Architect - 147703



  • Driving the customer architecture engagement with key US based OEM focused on workstation and chromebook platforms.

  • Driving and highlighting AMD's client roadmap products, product and platform architecture, key system features and capabilities, and AMD's APU/CPU performance & power

  • Understand the customer's platform architecture and requirements, resolve whether products will meet the requirements, working with the key AMD SME (Subject Matter Experts) and bring in requirements to influence the definition of future products.

  • Co-develop next generation product architecture that leads to the platform POR definition and development execution

  • Engage with Microsoft to align product/platform architecture & system features with Microsoft's OS features and capabilities

  • Engage with Google to align product/platform architecture & system features with Google's Chromebook OS features and capabilities

Preferred experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience for this role

  • PC client (both mobile and desktop) platform architecture experience and understanding

  • Hardware and Software architecture experience

  • Microsoft OS Experience

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Capable of working well across AMD globally.


Bachelors or master’s degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with emphasis on computer architecture
