The Role:

The AMD Go-to-Market (GTM) team is looking for a tech-savvy marketing professional to drive success and growth in our global marketing campaigns for the Commercial segment with a focus on PCs and laptops powered by AMD Ryzen™ and AMD Ryzen™ PRO processors. This role will develop a go-to-market strategy, will build and lead marketing campaigns and content, including but not limited to messaging, web copy, creative assets, and the full life cycle plan development. The primary focus is to build end-user campaigns, from messaging and creative asset development through activation (execution), that raises awareness of the AMD brand and aims to sell out of AMD powered PCs and laptops for the commercial segment, including both SMB and Enterprise, from C-level audiences to IT Pros, and influencers. This is a cross-functional and collaborative position, working closely with the global business unit, product marketing, regional marketing teams, OEM marketing, and worldwide sales leaders and peer organizations within worldwide marketing. The ideal candidate will be creative, innovative, and be a strong collaborator that will bring passion and end-user insight to the commercial client business!

The person:

We are looking for a candidate who will need to take the lead and be a quick learner, highly organized, able to influence others up and down the organizational structure, with strong interpersonal skills. He or she should be experienced in translating technical concepts and specifications to customer-centric benefits. The candidate will need to efficiently understand business objectives and translate AMD objectives into a relevant go-to-marketing strategy. Are you the person we are looking for?

KEY Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the global go-to-market strategy that supports key business priorities.
  • Lead life cycle plan content development process with key partners in BU, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Collaborate across WW marketing (Social, Web, and PR) to develop plans to meet timeline requirements and business needs.
  • Work with the GTM team and research leads to drive end-user and target audience insight relevant to the work.
  • Lead campaign development from strategy through execution, including but not limited to, development of creative assets, including video, digital and other, working with media agency on activation plans.
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as product marketing, social, digital, and regional marketing teams to align on requirements and ensure the successful execution of campaigns and programs on time and on budget.
  • Work closely with creative services, including includes both internal resources and external agencies.
  • Lead allocated campaign budget and execution.
  • Build plans, calendars, dashboards, and cross-functional accountability models to communicate progress to key partners.

Preferred experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field. MBA a plus.
  • 8+ years of relevant GTM/Advertising/Marcom/Marketing experience in the high-tech industry
  • Business-to-business experience and knowledge of the OEM business
  • Agency (creative and media) management and creative development experience
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and with a team
  • Track record of demonstrating customer journey to bring end-user insights and research into impactful campaigns and messaging.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate the technical value proposition to a non-technical audience
  • Microsoft 365 proficiency
  • This position requires up to 20% travel

Academic credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing preferred
