Corporate Responsibility and Compliance - Supply Chain/Procurement

The Role:

This is a great opportunity to contribute as part of a Procurement Systems and Processes team, where you will work with legal, supply chain and corporate responsibility professionals to strengthen and maintain high-quality processes enabling and demonstrating AMD’s compliance to various Supply Chain Responsibility requirements. You'll develop and communicate plans for improvement in key process metrics, and communicate AMD’s compliance internally and externally.

The Person:

The ideal candidate is passionate about responsible sourcing and resilient supply chains, possessing experience in this area, and in owning high-quality transparent processes to meet or exceed customer expectations.

This position requires a self-starter with supply chain risk management and compliance processes experience and who is ready to contribute to a team-oriented and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Responsibility

  • Accountable for Responsible Sourcing including Conflict Mineral Compliance and reporting accuracy. Collaborates with resource(s) who cultivate the compliance database and oversees responses to written customer inquiries.
  • Prepares and produces content for Responsible Mineral Assurance Program (RMAP) audit(s). Ensures successful audit outcome and follows through in any customer or regulatory audit event and customer communications.
  • Owns and advances the quality and data integrity of AMD’s supply chain mapping database and risk analysis and management process for procurement.
  • Maintains supply chain business continuity process documentation and handles routine customer and general external inquiries regarding supply chain business continuity process and status.
  • Manages AMD’s annual supplier assurance letter process.

Procurement Process Documentation (ISO), Compliance and Database Management (QuEST)

  • Provides planning, oversight, and management of Procurement process documentation
  • Oversees work product of document management resource(s) and is accountable for procurement document management
  • Ensures compliance with procedures for proper release and training of process standards.
  • Develops and maintains clear indicators of process use and adoption, leading indicators which provide feedback to global procurement leadership.
  • Supports and assists procurement personnel where appropriate to achieve specification deliverables and documentation evidence (e.g., risk assessments, supplier business reviews, ISO database management).

Compliance Process Improvement

  • Identifies and prioritizes areas for compliance process improvement, including process additions, removals, and simplifications.
  • Establishes structured improvement projects, secures necessary resources, and drives their execution and successful completion.

Preferred Experience:

  • Must have proven work experience in regulatory compliance and conflict minerals program management
  • Proven experience in Product, Program or Engineering management.
  • Customer service skills and ability to communicate complex information and negotiate compromises
  • Demonstrated aptitude solving problems with process improvement and data systems solutions
  • Ability to lead small teams, influence others

Academic Credentials:

  • B.S. in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
