Director of Product Management, AMD Embedded Solutions


The Role:

You will be responsible for owning and driving the definition and delivery of the Embedded Product Roadmaps that incorporate EPYC Embedded and RYZEN Embedded products spanning a diverse range of market segments, including Automotive, Networking and Storage. Leading a team of Product Managers you will work closely with AMD engineering, Segment Marketing and Sales to ensure that the winning solution is defined for each product line and effectively brought to market. In addition to the definition of new products you will also champion effective portfolio management, ensuring that the existing products in market remain optimized for production and managed through the product lifecycle to their planned end of life.


The Person:

AMD is looking for a highly talented Director of Product Management to drive the definition of the next generation of Embedded Product solutions the Embedded Business Unit.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Owner of the Embedded Hardware and Software Product Roadmaps. Accountability to ensure that products and solutions enable best in class features and are positioned to win.
  • Work alongside the segment marketing teams to deliver a compelling portfolio and value proposition that combines AMD technologies with the segment needs to achieve design win / revenue objectives.
  • Interface with AMD senior leadership and customers to champion the Embedded roadmaps.
  • Synchronize with internal business units to align on a strategic and long-term vision for the roadmaps.
  • Lead and manage a team of dedicated hardware and software product managers who own the individual products within the roadmap, providing direction and guidance on product definition and enablement.
  • Drive competitive analysis and benchmarking strategies to ensure positioning of all AMD’s Embedded solutions.
  • Understand SOC technologies, embedded market trends and customer needs to drive business decisions for optimal revenue and market growth.
  • Manage the portfolio to ensure products in market remain optimized for production and yields remain on target, plan for effective product end of life communication and last time buys.



  • Graduate engineering degree and/or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of technical product management experience in the Semiconductor market, 5+ years of those leading a team of Product Managers with varying experience.
  • Excellent communication and evangelizing skills with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive team results.
  • Experience presenting to and influencing senior technical and business leaders.
  • Proven experience in driving internationally distributed cross functional teams to achieve successful product definitions and launches.
  • Experience of writing product MRDs, PRDs, and driving products through the product phase gate process.
  • A deep understanding of semiconductor design cycles and production.
  • Agile and adaptable to constantly changing business requirements.
  • Experience working in a multi-site, multi-cultural environment, and ability to travel as needed.

  • Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred
