This position is for a Senior Edge Compute Business Development Manager in the Embedded Business Unit within the Data Center Solutions Group.  In this customer facing role, the Sr. Edge Compute Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving and executing growth strategies for Edge Compute Markets and Solutions for AMD.  This includes securing key customer design wins, identifying new business development opportunities, driving AI strategies for computing at The Edge, and working with the ecosystem to develop compelling AMD solutions for the Edge Compute markets.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow AMD’s business in Edge Compute markets. Includes market analysis and business development strategies, as well as specific customer engagement plans and broader ecosystem enablement.
  • Grow and secure new customer design wins and revenue by partnering with the AMD sales team for Edge Compute markets and customers.
  • Work with the ecosystem, as well as AMD’s engineering teams, to develop and promote focused Edge Compute solutions highlighting AMD’s key value propositions.
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop and deploy AI enabled strategies for Edge Compute solutions and customers.
  • Evangelize AMD’s Edge Compute solutions to the industry.
  • Ability to travel (~25-50% of time).

 

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION: 

  • 10+ years of experience in business development within the Embedded, Datacenter or Edge Compute markets, with a deep understanding of high performance computing (CPU, GPU, SoC) solutions.
  • BS and/or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering from a top university or college.
  • Experience with machine learning and edge compute customers, as well as experience working with ecosystem & go-to-market partners.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational skills and ability to work across multiple functions and multiple tasks, both within and external to AMD.
  • Excellent customer and executive communication skills, with proficiency in writing, presentation & verbal communication.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: 

  • MBA is preferred
  • Deep technical knowledge of edge computing workloads and requirements, along with understanding of datacenter and “smart” endpoint usecases, with technical experience (either HW or SW) in high performance computing solutions.
  • Relentless ambition for results-oriented success; with a strong drive to achieve incredible results.
