Operations Business Manager

 

The Role:

This role is a key position within the AMD Server Business Operations team managing products from introduction to end of life. The successful candidate will help support the key business goals of annual revenue, market share, gross margin, and inventory targets.  This person will work with multiple groups across the company, including Supply Chain, Product Engineering, Finance and Global Sales, to provide analysis for key decision making.

You are detail oriented with a passion for data analysis.  Agile and forward-thinking.  Able to prep for and lead a variety of local and global meetings with different levels of technical, operations, finance, and leadership.  You pride yourself in honest and trustworthy dealings with internal/external customers, colleagues, and partners.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supply/Demand planning
    • Collaborate with Business Unit and Sales team to set quarterly revenue goals
    • Develop supply plans and drive execution of supply plan with Supply Chain and Engineering to support revenue goals
    • Review all planning inputs with functional owners to drive accountability and data accuracy (Yields, BOM, Capacity, etc.)
    • Align wafer plans to support revenue and inventory targets
  • Inventory analysis
    • Weekly inventory update
    • Support Sales & Operations Planning inventory roll forward
    • Aged inventory review
    • Recommend demand shaping opportunities to achieve business goals
  • Provide weekly data management support to the Data Center GPU Business Operations team
    • Supply request plan
    • Billing/Backlog analysis – On-time delivery
    • Build Change Request update support
    • Manage supply gaps and inventory builds

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Highly analytical, possessing a good sense of finance and accounting 
  • High tech industry experience; semiconductor is highly desirable.
  • High level of proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and in data manipulation, analysis and presentation
  • Comfortable in navigating a fast-paced constantly changing environment, while successfully managing towards Key Performance Indicators.
  • Strong inter-personal skills and can communicate effectively via face-to-face, conference call, and email environments.

 

Academic credentials:

  • Bachelors degree; (preferred) in Supply Chain, Business or Computer Science
