What you do at AMD changes everything

At AMD, we push the boundaries of what is possible.  We believe in changing the world for the better by driving innovation in high-performance computing, graphics, and visualization technologies – building blocks for gaming, immersive platforms, and the data center.

Developing great technology takes more than talent: it takes amazing people who understand collaboration, respect, and who will go the “extra mile” to achieve unthinkable results.  It takes people who have the passion and desire to disrupt the status quo, push boundaries, deliver innovation, and change the world.   If you have this type of passion, we invite you to take a look at the opportunities available to come join our team.

Prefer an individual with business intelligence (BI) dashboard experience and strong programming and database skills. Knowledge of the semiconductor industry is a plus.

Primary Project: Develop Engineering Dashboarding Tools

A specific dashbaord development project will be assigned. This will include working with stakeholders to understand the visualization, reporting, and analysis needs, developing the dashboard, and supporting documentation and roll-out. The dashboard will be related to semiconductor product, test, and yield needs.

Value Add for Co-op Experience: work with team of experienced applications developers, technical exposure to product/test/yield engineering in semiconductors, work with subject matter experts for data analysis and visualization

Key Skills:

  • business intelligence report and dashboard development (Power BI, Tableau, or others)
  • database ETL and SQL
  • programming using Python and/or Java
  • Agile development processes
  • efficient, effective communication with engineering stakeholders to quickly understand data visualization and analysis needs
  • data visualization and user interface development
  • data cleaning/aggregating and statistical analysis
  • understanding of data related to semiconductor product, test, and yield

In addition to one primary development project, there will be opportunities for sustaining work on existing dashboards and systems. Mentorship by a current dashboard developer, an aligned engineering subject matter expert, and a business process owner will support an understanding of how these systems fit into the broader engineering work in AMD product development.
