Fellow Systems Architect

The Role:

As a passionate and dedicated system and SoC Architect in the AMD Strategic Silicon Solutions group, you are the driving force behind new business and custom product development at AMD. You will collaborate with AMD's Architecture, IP and Technology leaders to make architecture proposals and also engage with customers for defining custom silicon solutions.  You will work with AMD Strategic Silicon Solution partners from various domains such as hardware and IP design, SOC design, Firmware, API, Software, OS and Applications to architect optimal solutions for customers from critical markets such as automotive, wireless, network, storage, cloud, and edge compute industry.


The Person:

You are an agile and self-driven general technologist with experience in various technical domains related to leading-edge IC design, high performance platforms and systems. You have a passion and vision for high performance technology solutions across CPU, GPU, AI, and hardware accelerators; including a passion for learning and building products using chiplets and custom designs. Your vision has defined multi-year product developments and partnerships across technology domains, such as system and platform companies, semi-conductor hardware developers and software companies. You have led the architecture and technology of complex system designs for leading industry solutions and appreciate the challenges of bringing product solutions from concept to launch. You have broad knowledge and expertise in system hardware and software, computing technology that will complement our Architecture and Design team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Experiences in platform and system architecture of Networking, infrastructure, Automotive, etc.
  • Experiences in server class high performance computing SOC and platform architectures
  • Experience in RAS and FuSa from concept to architecture and implementation is a plus
  • Learning and building products using chiplets and custom designs; 
  • Propose industry leading solutions for AMD and customer business needs in areas of hardware, software, and system level.
  • Collaborate with business and engineering teams to formulate product concept and business case.
  • Communicate with AMD Architects and Customer Engineering leaders to understand unique customer needs, requirements, workloads and applications, and use cases of interest.
  • Work closely with AMD, Customer, and Industry teams to leverage, develop, and deploy the best in class IP for superior product design.
  • Guide architecture and engineering teams throughout the product R&D cycle.
  • Orchestrate silicon optimization and productization across AMD and Customer Engineering teams for successful product launch.


Academic Credentials:

  • Advanced technical degree with emphasis in Computer Architecture, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with at least 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
