JOB SUMMARY:

Datacenters are the backbone of today's computing. Join us in making this a reality by being part of an exciting team which is developing new set of advances from IO, memory, power, performance and security for AMDs next generation server platforms.

The position entails architecting, designing, developing, integrating firmware solutions for SOC configuration, security, power control and advanced system features. A successful candidate will employ solid design methodologies, deep technical knowledge, and well-honed debug skills across multiple teams to ensure on-schedule, defect-free system firmware product development, reducing AMD’s time to market.

If you have a knack for finding flaws in firmware design and implementation, this job is perfect for you.

Candidates must possess the technical proficiency and interpersonal confidence to technically clearly represent design ideas, complex problem descriptions and innovative solutions with other developers as well as non-firmware focused silicon teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successful firmware design, development, and integration experience
  • Experience working with RTOS and other embedded OS environments
  • Familiarity with pre-silicon validation on FPGAs or simulation/emulation environments along with ASIC bring-up.
  • Strong analytical skills and debug methodology
  • Intimate knowledge of software development process methodology expected
  • Knowledge of server architecture and system level knowledge
  • Develop, debug and validate firmware within pre & post silicon environments.
  • Experience with x86, ARM, or Tensilica processors, controllers, and dev/debug tools a plus
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines, responding to changing business and technical conditions
  • Always ready to take on new challenges
  • Excellent communications skills: verbal, written and interpersonal
