Global Business Operations Manager

The Role:

In this highly collaborative role, you will maximize business performance by being the objective, trusted partner across sales, BU and Marketing organizations. You will lead efforts to create, oversee and improve core Sales business processes for Design Win and NPI processes at AMD. You will be relied on to identify and drive critical projects and strategic initiatives to help AMD run more effectively across long-term planning, forecasting, and sales performance.

The Person:

You excel leading lead large cross-functional programs and projects critical to achieving business strategy. You enjoy structuring large amounts of information within a process framework. You effectively draw inferences from process details and link these inferences to the big picture by considering business objectives in identifying process improvements. Does this sound like you?

Key Responsibilities:

You will build business processes and associated metrics that enable effective introduction of new AMD products and sales pursuit of new PC and Server system designs for the future. You will establish business rhythm and cadence, leading meetings through deliverables, outcomes, and actions. You will drive adoption and operational rigor across the organization through gap analysis and proactive & creative problem solving.

Preferred Experience:

  • Proven experience in a consulting, finance, business management or other highly analytical role (preferably at technology companies with a sales team of 500+ people)
  • Master of cross-functional collaboration able to develop strong relationships with key partners across sales and other functions
  • Strong problem solving and analysis experience with solving business problems (commercial, operational, organizational)
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects on a tight deadline
  • Direct experience in business process creation, management, or improvement projects
  • A strong, concise communicator able to facilitate action and decision making across leadership
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and have enthusiasm for finding efficiencies
  • Resilient, optimistic, and passionate about our business results while never compromising customer, partner, and team relationships
  • Experience presenting to and communicating with executive level audiences
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
  • SME in Microsoft Excel and other Office 365 products, with experience telling a story by building sophisticated models using pivot tables and VLOOKUP
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or another Sales CRM software
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) a strong plus
  • Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, or other analytics platforms a plus

Academic Credentials:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
