IT Business Systems Manager will support improvement initiative for Global Operations
and Engineering Organizations, ensuring alignment with core goals and strategic priorities
of the company. You will collaborate with key business partners to define and manage
business needs and requirements, while driving the IT roadmap and porfolio planning,
project execution and support (issues) from IT. In general, the IT Business Systems
Manager will play the roles of business relationship manager, solution architect and
business analyst.

someone with expertise in a variety of IT concepts, practices and procedures, who has a
broad range of skills, and the ability to step into different roles, depending on the size and
scope of an engagement. Systems implementation background and general consulting
skills will be very effective, as will a wide degree of creativity and lattitude. You should
have a track record of mastering new technology and tools quickly.

In this role you will own the relationship with assigned business partners to

1) understand the business needs

2) help prioritize in IT portfolio planning and

3) serve as a point of contact for issue escalation.


You'll help define or refine as needed the solution architecture for the assigned portfolio
areas in collaboration with business and other IT resources to ensure that solutions
comply with end-state architectures and business goals and strategies.
Your business acumen is necessary to manage requirements so that you understand what
AMD is trying to achieve. Review, analyze and evaluate business needs. Define and
document business case, requirements, scope and IT architecture.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Lead or assist PM in planning the activies. At times, you will be expected to drive or coordinate initiatives as the de facto project manager
  • Build use cases around collected requirements, and map to test scenarios.
    Transition requirements to test cases to provide traceability
  • Analyze results of system and integrated testing in conjunction with business partners so that all business requirements are met. Help coordinate and validate unit and integration tests. Support conversion and production cutover efforts. Ensure effective user training is provided, and support business users for timely issue resolution


  • Experience in Engineering, Quality and/ or NPI processes is critical. Semiconductor or high tech manufacturing is ideal, but not required.
  • Proven experience as IT Business Analyst or Solution Architect, preferably in implementing and supporting Quality, Supply Chain or Engineering applications
  • Demonstrated ability with one or more Quality Management Systems

           Strong experience in preparing and coordinating business cases, use cases,requirements, specifications, test plans/scripts, traceability matrices and end-user training

  • Willing and able to challenge business requests based on understanding of business value and priorities

Additional Experience (prefered but not required)

  • Experience with Engineering, Quality and/ or NPI processes
  • Experience in High-Tech industry, preferably in Semiconductor
  • Experience with ETQ Reliance Quality Software or other leading QMS software
  • Advanced knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, Reporting/Analytics
  • Experience with GitHub, MS Azure Boards, MS Teams, SharePoint, MS Power BI, ServiceNow
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, Access, Project, Visio



  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in Engineering or Business related areas
