The candidate will collaborate with a large global technical team to develop Semi-Custom APU products, from hardware through firmware, BIOS, and software, including debug and validation.



The candidate needs to have an in-depth understanding of APU product development, debug, firmware/software, validation and optimization, from pre-silicon through customer production. Must have the ability to tackle unique challenges through tight-knit teamwork and senior executive communications. This leader must have a proven track record of leading teams to success. The role will report up to the Corporate Vice President of Semi-Custom System Engineering.



  • Engage with AMD Semi-Custom SOC customers throughout the development lifecycle, from the early stages of development planning through validation execution and production support.
  • Interact directly with AMD customers to ensure their success!



  • Deliver product features and capabilities, closing architecture and macro-architecture requirements, technical specifications of the chip and IP blocks to meet those requirements and provide technical direction to teams.



  • Responsible for the memory execution for all SCBU products, including the development and innovation of memory and analysis tools.
  • Leading and influencing multi-functional teams in SOC design, memory IP development, firmware and diagnostics ensuring readiness for first silicon arrival, driving the memory feature enablement in the pre-silicon phase and during post silicon bring up, and debug life cycle.
  • Driving technical innovation to improve AMD’s memory system capabilities, including but not limited to technical and procedural methodology improvement, and various internal and multi-functional technical initiatives.
  • Representing the plans and execution of confidential program memory directly to the customer.



  • 15+ of experience in the development of microprocessor-based systems, including leading a technical team.
  • Knowledge of computer system architecture and microprocessor development.
  • Desired experience in working at major computer OEM or computer ODM.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to structure and execute analysis, draw insights, and communicate summary findings/recommendations to senior management and AMD customers
  • Ability to network, establish relationships, and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize, and balance multiple work streams.



Minimum electrical or computer engineering bachelor’s degree.
