Product Development Engineer

As a  Product Development Engineer you will work directly with our foundry engineering teams to enhance product performance, yield, and reliability analytics that drive new product development. You will collaborate with multiple teams, including product engineering, design, and foundry enablement to ramp new products into the marketplace!

Experience Required

  • Proven experience within process technology and/or product development.

  • Technical expertise in the productization of advanced technologies.

  • Strong technical program management skills.

  • Experience in JMP or equivalent data analysis tools are a plus.

  • 7+ years of related experience

  • An advanced degree may reduce the minimum experience requirement.

Functions

  • Accountable for engaging Foundry teams, product engineering, business units to define process technology to achieve program requirements.

  • Responsible for foundry yield D0, power-performance/device performance, extrinsic reliability, and debug efforts to improve customer experience and reduce cost.

  • Drive foundry technical teams, both internally and externally, to identify, root cause, and implement corrective action opportunities.

  • Analyze debug results across AMD/Foundry to inform platform level decisions.

  • Centralize platform diagnostics and physical failure analysis to drive D0 reduction.

  • Drive design, implementation of test structures and characterization support within AMD for foundry technology NPI.

 

Academic Credentials

M.Sc. in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, or equivalent is preferred
