DFT Engineer - 102344

The Role:

The AMD Austin Cores Design-For-Test Team is currently seeking candidates who will support the implementation and verification of advanced DFT (Design for Test) techniques for high performance microprocessor designs. You will be part of a team supporting the deployment of DFT methodologies that reduce test cost, increase product quality, improve yield on cutting edge process technologies. We are seeking an Engineer with a strong understanding of industry standard ATPG techniques working with multiple fault model types. This opportunity will involve ATPG pattern generation, coverage analysis and debug as well as running and debugging gate level simulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in both pre, and post-silicon in the DFT domain.s

The Person:

We are on the lookout for a dynamic DFT Engineer to join our growing team. Do you enjoy Design-for-Test methodologies and DFT verification? Our team is looking for someone who can self-start and who is able to work efficiently within a team environment and independently to drive tasks to completion, all while demonstrating excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills!

Key Responsibilities:

  • ATPG pattern generation and test coverage debug using Mentor ATPG tools.
  • Knowledge of various fault models such as Stuck-at, Transition, Path Delay, Cell Aware and Bridge.
  • Knowledge in JTAG, Scan Compression, ATPG, Fault Simulation and at-speed testing.
  • RTL and gate level DFT verifications for DFT logic.
  • Hands on experience with ATPG (Mentor – Tessent Tool)
  • iJTAG and IEEE1500 wrapper understanding.
  • Gate level simulation utilizing Synopsys VCS and Verdi debug tools
  • Understand DFT architecture and able to solve the issues of DFT
  • Support silicon bring-up support and debugging Silicon failures

Academic Credentials:

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
