Data Center Linux System Engineer/Lead

The Role:

The successful candidate will lead in GPU power and performance, security, RAS, reset management feature design, development and validation, work with hardware and firmware IP designers and architects, developing and delivering new features, driver test plans, validation plans, enablement plans with multi-functional teams and executing silicon bring-up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute feature verification, enablement, and test plans for SOC power and performance management features
  • Develop firmware functions and features for embedded microcontrollers in CPU/GPU
  • Debug, solve system-level issues related to power and performance features
  • Prototype innovative ideas and designs
  • Support test automation infrastructure and develop test scripts
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement in all areas of activity

Preferred Experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of C, C++, and Python language
  • Familiarization with continuous integration systems such as Jenkins
  • Experience working in the semiconductor industry
  • Linux kernel development experience, either core kernel development or device driver development.
  • Familiarity with Linux GPU kernel driver development
  • Specialist in developing and debugging system hardware and software or firmware for embedded systems
  • Understanding of computer organization/architecture, Machine Learning, HPC
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Power, performance, or thermal management experience
  • Must be a self-starter, and able to independently drive tasks to completion

Academic Credentials:

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent
