Cycle Planning Program Manager

The role:

An exciting time to work at AMD, and we are excited to expand our Global Planning and Strategy team. We are searching for an experienced Program Manager to lead our cycle planning program. Our business is dynamic, and we work closely with our sales and product divisions to ensure there is a coordinated effort to support our Consumer and Commercial cycle of business. The entails coordinating the program and content deliverable timelines in accordance with the mission and goals of the Consumer and Commercial business. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment to highlight their project management skills and help the team deliver standard methodologies for running projects.

The person:

The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable with continuously changing priorities and will have experience leading sophisticated projects. Strong interpersonal and leaderships skills are essential, as this role interacts with employees of all levels in multiple domains. This role will also run junior level program managers.

Key responsibilities:

The Manager, Program Manager Cycle Planning is responsible for working cross functionally to define the timelines, key planning achievements and identify risk and mitigations to planning and execution.

  • Ability to learn our business and markets we serve as a foundation for success in the role.
  • Running core teams and tracking deliverables and key inflections in support of the consumer and commercial business.
  • Along with tracking and handling execution timelines, weekly communication with key partners outlining progress.
  • Scheduling, gathering content and presenting during executive gate reviews, ensuring decisions and actions are detailed and become a plan of record.
  • Leading a team of junior level program managers and their responsibilities.

Preferred experience:

  • Ability to build processes in cross functional environment and adapt as needed experience managing a team
  • Good organizational agility and social skills to work optimally across functions and lines of business in a virtual organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, project management skills and track record of running full project life cycles and or business planning
  • Understanding of technical product concepts in making product/commodity trade-off decisions
  • Knowledge of PC industrial technologies, future trends, and direction, including PCs

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business administration
  • PMP certification or other PM related certificates a plus
