Marketing Manager – Original Equipment Manufacturer Go-To-Market, Commercial Client


The Commercial Client marketing organization supports the world’s fastest-growing processors powering notebooks and desktops, and the top single and multi-threaded performance processor powering workstations.

The Commercial OEM Marketing Manager will develop the co-marketing strategy for AMD, with a primary focus on one of our two largest OEM customers. This includes alignment on priorities and implementation of marketing programs that impact marketing and sales goals. The candidate will establish, deepen, and broaden relationships with key marketing, alliance, and product partners, becoming a trusted advisor for the OEM. This is an exciting time to join AMD!

The person:

The candidate for this role requires a professional who is a quick learner and is comfortable leading multi-stakeholder projects, has strong influencing skills at all levels of the organization, is sharp, responsible, and highly organized. We are looking for creative problem solving and accountability, and a continuous improvement approach. He or she will be responsible and highly organized, self-motived to meet ambitious timelines, and prepared to jump in and lead.

This person will need to effectively understand OEM objectives and translate AMD objectives into a relevant co-marketing strategy. Are you who we are looking for?

Key responsibilities:

  • Build strong links and relationships between AMD and OEM marketing, alliances, operations, and launch teams
  • Be the primary marketing interact directly with the OEM representing AMD
  • Develop and run Worldwide co-marketing funds and program terms
  • Communicate strategy, funding guidelines to regions and own WW plan roll-ups
  • Extend AMD brand and product visibility through strategic co-marketing initiatives
  • Align AMD planning cycles with OEM timelines and drive AMD brand and value proposition within OEM led content and commercial marketing engine
  • Be knowledgeable about the dynamics of the OEM’s organization to understand their goals, problems, timeline, and opportunities to better improve AMD marketing efficiency & integration within OEM campaigns
  • Ensure timely and relevant communications about AMD products and other updates to the OEM marketing, alliances, and product contacts
  • Work with AMD teams and with OEM to measure the effectiveness of programs, applying takeaways for future programs and campaigns

Preferred experience:

  • Successful years of marketing experience working at a best-in-class OEM or directly partnering with it.
  • Strong background in marketing fundamentals
  • Budget and contract management experience
  • Outstanding presentation, communication, and storytelling ability
  • Experience in a customer-facing or account management role
  • Detailed understanding of current B2B marketing strategies and trends

Academic credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing preferred, MBA a plus
