AMD is searching for a mobile product manager to build relationships with strategic customers and define and drive a product, software and platform roadmap to ensure that AMD products are built to match the evolving needs of the market. The mobile product manager will own a set of APU (CPU with integrated GPU) products within AMD's Client portfolio.

 

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will have experience in product management/program development with an emphasis on the notebook and mobile markets.  The candidate should have strong capabilities to collaborate with marketing, product management, engineering and business development teams to achieve outstanding business results. Key skills:
· Ability to guide product definition using credible insights developed by interacting with end customers, strategic partners and by following usage, market and economic trends
· The ability to tradeoff multiple constraints and chart a clear and differentiated path for AMD’s mobile APU products
· Strong communication skills to address multiple internal and external stakeholders. Specifically must possess the technical ability to dialogue at a feature and IP level with internal hardware and software architects as well as external customer experts.
· Must understand industry trends of notebook hardware and software ecosystems, and end user behavior and usage models across gaming, prosumer, creator, and workstation segments.
· Ability to convert highly technical value propositions into a compelling business case

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ownership of assigned mobile APU products with responsibility for driving execution from planning through high volume production and end of life
· Product management leadership to define product requirements and provide execution clarity based on the customer and competitive business requirements
· Contribute to high-level strategic roadmap planning decisions with product, business development, engineering and executive teams
· Engage with key ecosystem partners and alliance organizations to deliver the critical software and solution components to support the business growth goals
· Develop product business cases in collaboration with go-to-market and sales teams that meet Client business growth and share objectives
· Collaborate with engineering execution teams to ensure product requirements, goals and objectives are met and exceeded
· Development and execution of new product introductions with technical, supply, marketing and sales functions.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS / EXPERIECE:
· 10+ Years in notebook/mobile product development with relevant business and/or product management experience from a top-20 silicon vendor or PC manufacturer
· BS and/or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering from a top university or college
· MBA is a strong plus
