Reporting to the Director, Server Product Evaluation Lead, Data Center and Embedded Solutions, the System Evaluation Lead (SEL), offers a challenging position to bring to market the cutting-edge products and grow AMD’s presence with Data center partners and customers.

 

The SEL will be accountable for driving the AMD validation team and enabling use-cases in collaboration with both internal and external partners.  The SEL will act as a technical liaison between validation, product engineering, design, software and customers to ensure root cause closure on difficult to solve technical problems.  The SEL will drive to closure validation to ensure production tapeouts and eventual production release.

 

 

System Evaluation Lead:

Tenacity to drive difficult validation issues to root-cause and solution

Passion for delivering high quality products to demanding customers

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with both technical and non- technical audiences

Responsibilities:

  • Use Case execution
    • Ensure use cases requirements defined by product management are executable from design through productization
    • Ensures use cases are properly delineated and delivered to Feature Enablement Team’s (FET)for execution
    • Ensure alignment between customer AVL’s and validation execution
  • Accountable for all FET execution pre and post silicon
    • Can lead individual FET’s
    • Drives cross organization for resource funding and alignment
    • Communicates key feature status to customers as required
    • Path to escalate to functional VP’s
  • Accountable for all SOC-Platform level emulation.  Set’s plan and drives execution
  • Leads technical communication to key customers as required by the business
  • Delivers solution execution status in executive forums
  • Provides technical recommendations for feature enablement/removal, Tape-out, Engineering Change Review, and SW release to core team and Project Director
  • Sign off responsibility for product definition
  • Sign off on all validation plans and completion execution
  • Consulted on performance and Drives alignment between Design and Platform engineering
  • Ensure overall FW architect drives optimal FW architecture, aligned to product requirements, across all FW components
  • Owns tools requirements across product validation and production needs (internal vs. external)
  • Product Engineering
    • Drives alignment of FW requirements into test
    • Drives resolution of yield detractors with Design
  • Drives validation knowledge exchange with design Pre-Si for development of validation plans

 

 

Basic REQUIREMENTS:

BSEE or MSEE and 7-10 years of deep technical experience in the server validation and/or design engineering

Strong understanding of CPU and Memory architecture

Technical expertise in DDR4 RDIMM, LRDIMM, IO technologies including but not limited to PCIe Gen3 and beyond and SATA. NVME knowledge a plus

Strong system-level knowledge

Experience working with cross-functional teams from multiple domains
