what you'll be doing

  • Your involvement will be substantial within AMD’s extended supply chain as the Substrate Capacity Expansion Project Manager to communicate direction and schedules with Procurement, Production Operations and engineering teams, as well as coordinate with suppliers.
  • This person would be responsible for program/project tracking, reporting of program/project data, providing resource utilization data, confirming compliance to defined schedules and budgets project prioritization methodology.
  • Supplier Enablement Program Manager is a new role to assist in developing program governance coordination and assisting in the successful planning & execution of projects(s) from start to finish.
  • In addition, you will be creating management reports, working with the Business Units teams on priority setting, and working with engineering and suppliers on expected product output, yield targets and qual requests to improve supply.
  • Your attention to detail and dedication to meet planning goals will be essential in this team.
  • The Global Operations team is constantly driving process improvement. You will provide suggestions to improve substrate capacity footprint, including tools and reports. We as a team aspire to move the needle and make a difference.

 

what we need to see
 

  • Experience working in the semiconductor substrate field
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, statistics, engineering, or a related field
  • Good communication, problem-solving, collaboration, interpersonal, and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in using standard project tools (MS Office, MS Project, MS SharePoint, etc.)
  • Good English skills on reading, writing, speaking, and listening
  • Strong influencing and communication skills within a highly matrixed and multi-cultural organization
  • Able to collaborate with others and be a leader within function
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, complexity and working under pressure with tight timelines and moving targets
  • Highly organized, detailed oriented, a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, ability to multi-task in dynamic environment

  • Experience in High-Tech substrate environment and strong analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of driving cross-functional team members with interpersonal skills to achieve mutually acceptable solution for any problem on hand.
  • Possess the sense of urgency to proactively implement creative but effective solutions with agility to timely deliver above and beyond expectations especially on cross functional related issues.


Preferred Experience
 

  • Project Management of Capital Projects
  • Supply Chain Management (SCM)
  • Excellent knowledge of supplier relationship management
  • Experience working in an engineering or semiconductor company
  • PMP/APICS Certification
  • Green Belt certification
  • Understanding of regional and global markets and cultures

Academic Credentials

  • BS/BA degree
  • MBA
