Production Control Engineer

The Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and/or approve quantities, schedules and parts lists provided to the material control organization to ensure accurate and complete ordering, as well as receipt and issuance of sample material requirements
  • Works in New Product Implementation(NPI) team to Plans, schedules, coordinates sample deliveries to Customer and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete

  • Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish sample schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements
  • Works to resolve material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions
  • Oversees the master schedules and ensures comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing
  • Works on related projects and/or assignments as required.
  • Manage master product data including manufacturing specification and bill-of-material throughout the life cycle of products.
  • Works on small to medium scale of process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and productivity

Knowledge/Accountability

  • Lapses in quality, reliability and completeness affect the ability of the team to meet near-term commitments and may require a modest redeployment or expenditure of resources to recover
  • Possesses specialized knowledge, imaginative thinking, and sophisticated analytical techniques.
  • Ability collaboration on or assuming the responsibility for a specific project, or a definable portion of a larger project, process, or client group.

Job Complexity/Scope

  • Includes accountability for results in that area, and for communication of the status of interdependencies to management or senior design staff.
  • Solves complex problems and makes some modifications to standard methods.
  • Expected to implement important technical decisions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with teams local and overseas.
  • 3-5 years of experience. Fresh Graduate are welcome.

 

Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree plus proven experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
