The Program Management Director will lead program execution from concept to product delivery.  You will work across Engineering and Business teams to meet overall program objectives and lead the Program Chief Engineering Council (CEC) composed of design, technology, supply chain, platform, product, software, ecosystem, quality and business functions.  You will report out regularly on status, decisions, issues, etc. during execution. As the program leader, you will own/be accountable for the following:

 

  1. Establish and deliver to budget and schedule
  2. Drive critical path and ensure clear ownership of all issues/bugs
  3. Timely escalations to RTG Leadership to ensure the proper attention and priorities are applied
  4. Manage Program change control process
  5. Align overall messaging of status/issues with key internal/ external stakeholders
  6. Tailor the roles of each core team member according to the needs of the Program including defining cross functional ownership, and managing effective performance of the core team, and managing the membership to achieve program objectives

 

As the successful candidate, you will have a BS or MSEE degree and at least 18 years’ relevant working experience in new product development from a design, platform, software, and/or product management discipline. You should have leadership experience both in technical and management aspects, as well as a strong understanding of the general silicon engineering process (preferably GPU, CPU or APU), from concept to tape-out to production. Experience driving a multi-site and multi-disciplined engineering program is an asset.

You are a proven leader, able to create and maintain a working cross functional team and manage in a matrixed environment. You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and outstanding people management skills to lead, motivate, and guide world class engineers.

Additional requirements:

  • Ability to scope a program end-to-end
  • Solid understanding of financial and management accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to structure and execute complex analysis, draw insights, and communicate summary findings/recommendations to senior executive and AMD customers
  • Ability to network, build relationships, and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize, and juggle multiple work streams to tight deadlines
