Customer Quality Data analytics lead

The Role:

This dynamic, highly visible role drives product Quality & Reliability from concept to end of life to ensure a differentiated experience, improve customer satisfaction and build customer confidence. The suitable candidate will lead and be accountable for Quality & Reliability for all AMD datacenter CPU products. This is a high visibility role for highly experienced candidates.

The Person:

The ideal candidate is comfortable dealing with customer quality issues that require structured problem solving and strong communication skills. Additionally you will need to be highly organized, able to prioritize, and juggle multiple work streams to tight deadlines. You also have good customer facing experience with the ability to network, build relationships, and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet Customer Quality deliverables per program milestones including customer interactions
  • Interaction with customers and cross functional teams to elad data analysis, presenting various scenarios of th eproducts from server market perspective base on pareto, DPPM and cusomter fail logs.
  • Customer interface for quality & reliability related items.
  • Understanding of Fab and OSAT supplier's data to meet product quality requirements including NUDD (New, Unique, Different, Difficult) for future technologies
  • Meet Customer Quality deliverables per program milestones including customer interactions


Key Interfaces

  • Business unit, engineering leadership, Global Operations organization, business operations, sales and end customers

Preferred Experience:

  • Data analytics of manufacturing and customer data. Understanding and ability to analyze customer fail logs. 
  • Comfortable dealing with customer quality issues that requires structured problem solving and strong communication skills.
  • Strong data analysis with knowledge in SQL, Python, Pivot tables, JMP/Minitab tool.
  • Proven ability to write scripts for data analysis looking at data in various angle
  • Senior level experience in product quality, reliability or product engineering, preferably in semiconductor industry. Board level experience is a big plus.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize and juggle multiple work streams to tight deadlines

Academic Credentials:

  • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or similar.
