The Role:

Be part of a growing team within AMD that is building GPUs/Accelerated Processors that power the world’s biggest systems used for Machine Learning, HPC, AI and Cloud Gaming. Our customers include some of the biggest names in the industry and are eager to partner with AMD. You will be part of team responsible for enhancing the silicon and system test capability for AMD’s compute/accelerated processing GPUs. The team is building new ways of doing both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation to ensure our products are Enterprise Ready.

 

The Person:

 You will be part of the test team. We are looking for people with energy, technical experience and willingness to stretch the boundary of testing. You will work with architects, silicon designers, testers and other automation engineers to develop stress tests and exercisers designed to thoroughly verify our products. You will have latitude to innovate and be part of driving change. Key Responsibilities: 

Work in the Datacenter Graphics and Accelerated Computing team which is responsible for Silicon, Board and System Validation. Team member will be responsible for working with Silicon/IP design teams, key architects and other validation team members to develop low level test cases to test areas like: PCIe/AMD Proprietary I/O, Graphics Compute, Internal SOC I/O Fabric, Coherent Memory, Multi GPU and other key areas. The role will be combination of creating test content and running tests including working with other test teams to incorporate the exercisers into test suites.

 

Preferred Experience: 

  • 7-10 years of experience working in validation area with a focus on low-level test development/execution; preferably in Semiconductors but could be Board/System Level
  • Must possess both programming skills and ability to understand hardware
  • Graphics experience a plus
  • Demonstrated  C, scripting programming skills
  • Strong knowledge of Linux Kernel development
  • Any tools/infrastructure experience a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability in “showing initiative” to get things done
