Technical Enabling Engineer

The Role:

AMD is looking for a Technical Enabling Engineer to join our Datacenter System Architecture and Engineering team to develop world-class products around EPYC processors. In this impactful role you will engage with multiple teams at AMD as well as customers and partners to drive the current and future state ecosystem surrounding our EPYC processors. 


The Person:

In this role, you will collaborate with AMD internal and industry teams to understand Evaluation, ensure Interop, Compliance, Compatibility & Co-validation to support the technology development and execution of AMD EPYC Server platforms and solutions across HPC, Cloud and Enterprise market segments. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working with industry partners on interoperability testing across multiple industry standards such as PCIe and CXL.
  • Assures Interoperability of AMD Server Platform & Technology solutions with 3rd party and IHV devices. Working with both internal and external teams to triage and debug any technical issues identified.
  • Proof of Concept interoperability & evaluation with preproduction hardware for multiple product types.
  • Provide feedback and direction for Compliance Test capabilities to both internal teams as well as industry consortium's.
  • Ensure that the platforms pass compatibility requirements.
  • Engage with customers and partners to capture and evaluate customer specific configurations.


Preferred Experience:

  •  Proven ability to engage with multiple external partners across the ecosystem to evaluate new and existing technologies. 
  • Ability to utilize standard test and measurement equipment (Logic Analyzers, Exercisers, Oscilloscopes) to evaluate product capabilities and provide technical feedback on product readiness.
  • Technical Marketing experience in the semiconductor industry preferred.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize, and manage multiple work streams to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.


Academic Credentials:

•    BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
