Salesforce Business Analyst - Governance

The Role:

The Business Planning Department at AMD is seeking a Salesforce Analyst to join our team in the Austin office. (This is not a remote position.)  The position will manage the Salesforce.com Governance process and reporting, and provide guidance and documentation to support Enhancement requests. Additionally, the Salesforce Business Analyst will provide administrative support to the Salesforce Team and coordinate related projects as assigned.

The Person:

Are you great at managing projects: documenting processes, setting schedules/deadlines, coordinating with others? This role requires very strong project management abilities, including stakeholder management. Also outstanding communication (written and verbal) are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role you will manage the Salesforce.com Governance process and reporting, and provide guidance and documentation to support Enhancement requests.  You will work collaboratively with team members to understand and design a solution that will meet business requirements and fulfill business need. 

  • Administer KPI and related reporting for the Salesforce Governance Team hierarchy.
  • Document and manage communication between governance committee and partners.
  • Develop detailed business process flows to support the design and development of Salesforce solutions.
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
  • Collect organize and review documentation for requests from business users to add/ make change to Salesforce AppExchange products, or other cloud-based technologies;
  • Define approve/reject criteria for board to review for adds/changes to Salesforce environment
  • Work with stakeholders and end users to gather, understand, and define business requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers to test and verify that solutions will meet the business requirements.
  • Participate in key meetings with stakeholders including requirement sessions, system demos, user acceptance testing, and end user training.

Preferred Experience:

  • Salesforce experience is a must (1+ years), including understanding of Salesforce governance lifecycle. The preference is for a candidate who has been in a Salesforce governance role--if not, then working as a Salesforce Administrator.
  • Salesforce certification is a plus.
  • Project management ability is the other key experience needed, including working on an agile team
  • Proficient with MS Office products, specifically advanced Visio, PowerPoint and Excel skills.

Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience is preferred.
  • Salesforce certification is a plus
