Candidate will be working with managers and other engineers to develop software for validating AMD's new products. This role will include design, coding, debug, and optimization of software to support silicon bring-up, validation, and debug. Code quality, robustness, extendibility and performance are critical. As a member of the team, you will also be responsible for code reviews, creating unit tests, and authoring detailed documentation related to your work.

 

Education and Experience

 

-        BS or MS in Computer Engineering preferred or Computer Science

-        Bachelor degree with 3+ years or commercial software development experience  or Master’s degree required

-        Prior experience with: OOD (Object Oriented Design), C++ (Programming Language), hardware/software interfacing, and Windows applications

-        Strong analysis and problem solving skills

-        Proven interpersonal skills and teamwork

-        Must be fluent in both written and spoken English

-        Experience working with off-shore teams preferred

-        x86 and AMD64 micro-architecture knowledge preferred

 

Key Responsibilities

 

-        Communicate with design team and users to understand and define the software requirements. Investigate future roadmaps and product technical documentation to understand software impact. Translate these requirements/impacts into executable project plans.

-        Write development documentation and contribute content to end user documentation

-        Architect and design the software

-        Software development, unit and integration test, debugging, post release support and software configuration management

-        Accountable on time delivery of deliverables
