Senior Program Manager

This dynamic, highly visible role is to govern, maintain the health and continue to develop AMD’s quality management systems within Global Operations. As AMD’s Quality Systems are utilized to meet next generation Product and Customer requirements, this candidate will ensure consistent documented processes to improve customer satisfaction and build customer confidence. The suitable candidate will be accountable for being the North America lead auditor as well as continued development of our quality management system processes.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Provides oversight for the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes, and procedures that ensure compliance with policies and conform to established internal and external standards and guidelines.
  • Plan and drive cross-functional activities across multiple global operations teams, with a focus on Quality Management Systems.
  • Improve agility and integration of critical processes across the organization to better serve customers and improve Quality.
  • Build strong relationships with customers by enabling world class quality across AMD product development and manufacturing.
  • Design and implement quality management system processes to adhere to ISO 9001 standards.
  • Lead internal auditor to ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Responsible for partnering with subject matter experts to drive corrective actions for all internal and registrar audit findings.
  • Institutionalize robust Quality Processes & Quality Management System.
  • Key Interfaces
  • Business unit, engineering leadership, Global Operations organization, business operations, and sales
  • Requirements
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of product quality, engineering, or test experience, preferably in semiconductor logic SOC
  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing including fab, bump, assembly, and test
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end system/component/process interactions
  • Ability to network, build relationships, and influence cross-functionally and drive a culture change
  • Excellent process improvement/lean experience, managing large, multi-site project/programs within complex cross-functional organizations and/or environment with several disciplines
  • Strong industry standard Project Management skills and application of tools and techniques and ability to execute continuous improvement methodologies, tools and structured problem-solving techniques
  • Well versed in ISO 9001 and auditor certification
  • Experience with ISO 9001 audits and driving corrective actions to all findings
  • Customer facing experience with ability to network, build relationships, and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization
  • Ability to structure and execute complex analysis, draw insights, and communicate summary findings/recommendations to senior management and customers
  • Excellent analytical and communication (verbal and content) skills - must be able to not only collect data and information, but also to analyze, identify and escalate risks, clearly summarize status and key issues as well as recommend next steps to multiple levels within the organization
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize, and juggle multiple work streams to tight deadlines

Education:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or similar is required.
