Senior Packaging Program Manager (92383)
 

  • Provide Program Management support, and expense forecasting / tracking, for a Package engineering team which resides at multiple sites and time zones.
  • Develop program schedules, track deliverables, provide updates and facilitate feedback between Chip Design, Package design, Product Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, to develop new packages for new products.
  • Manage tracking of engineering team progress across timeline of a product lifecycle, through multiple phase reviews.

  • Able to analyze business process which include complex interactions between entrenched interests, and propose efficiency improvements in a tactful way that results in progress.
     

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Develop and define and document business processes (which are currently ad hoc) to allow scaling & efficiency.
  • Analyze business process which include complex interactions between entrenched interests, and propose efficiency improvements in a tactful way that results in progress.
  • Represent package engineering team in weekly forums and monthly phase reviews, ensuring the team’s progress is adequately represented, and that new inputs & change to programs are quickly recognized, reviewed & responded to.
  • For assigned programs, you will maintain “Life of Program” expense record, track changes, validate current entry vs historical, report at phase reviews, including reasons for changes.

Preferred Experience

  • Semiconductor Packaging, especially interface with chip design, package design & product development teams as a product is developed.
  • Semiconductor Packaging, especially experience working with engineering teams in assembly factories, to define upcoming needs, develop capability, track readiness, meet committed deadlines (especially “first silicon”) and drive activities that ramp through NPI.
  • Program management, especially in an environment where hardware deliverables are defined and tracked through an entire product lifecycle, for multiple products, which require support from an engineering team of subject matter experts.

Academic credentials

  • BS Materials, BS Mech Eng, BS Electrical Engineering, preferred.
