You will join AMD's Core Performance Modeling team based in Austin, TX.

 

You will participate in the performance modeling, analysis, and microarchitecture development of AMD's future core designs. Responsibilities may include: cycle-accurate core microarchitecture performance simulator development, workload and trace analysis, microarchitecture development, RTL vs performance model correlation, and/or post-silicon performance analysis.

 

What skills, experience and qualifications do you need? 

* Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or Ph.D. degree with 1+ year of relevant experience.

* Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.

* Strong computer architecture background through coursework and/or work experience.

* Strong C++ programming and scripting language capabilities.

* Experience with cycle-accurate microarchitecture performance simulator development.

* Experience with pre-silicon performance analysis.

* Familiarity with memory controllers or other system components.

* Familiarity with details of computing software, including operating systems, compilers, and applications.

* Candidate must be creative, self-motivated, and must work comfortably in a cross-site team environment.
