Silicon Design Engineer 2


The Role:

This is an opportunity to verify AMD’s next-generation IP subsystem of computer, graphics, and visualization SoCs. Our team owns the design and verification for System Management Unit (SMU) as part of Client Compute Group, and we are responsible for the quality of delivery throughout all related engineering project phases including


The Person:

A successful candidate will be detail-oriented with talents in hardware/firmware design, analysis, and debugging, strong knowledge of processors and digital circuits, good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and strong written and verbal communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

Work with architects, and the design and Design Verification team to define develop test plan and execute system verification plan from power management, system features. Design, implementation, and debug of stimulus generation, checking and functional coverage components of testbenches and testcases using UVM-System Verilog and/or C to verify the requirements.


Preferred Experience:

  • Solid understanding of OO programming languages such as C++
  • Strong knowledge of digital logic and circuits
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Experience using any of the scripting languages: Ruby, Perl, Python and Makefile
  • Good people skills. Organized and methodical with ability to plan and execute
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced, pressure filled environment.


Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
