SoC Definition Architecture Engineer – 78749

THE ROLE:

Experienced SoC design engineer to contribute to the definition, specification, and communication of SoC microprocessors and related personal computing technologies.

 

THE PERSON

Must have deep knowledge of microprocessor architecture able to translate the specifications and features from the customer into clear and concise documentation defining SoC and device ID values.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understanding and analyzing logic designs from a software programming model perspective
  • Defining and specifying SoC processor and system behavior
  • Generating formal specifications and documentation collateral.
  • Definition tasks include gathering information from a wide range of parties inside and outside of the SoC design team, proposing microprocessor and SoC behavioral definitions, driving tradeoffs between parties, and helping to mitigate design processor issues.
  • Additional tasks include generating clear, concise, organized documentation of assorted microprocessor and SoC behaviors for publication inside and outside of the company.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • The candidate should have experience with x86 software models, microprocessors, graphics processors, PC chipset hardware with general familiarity with microprocessor and PC/SoC architecture.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, particularly scripting languages such as Perl, Python, XML, etc. is a plus.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience with word processors including OpenOffice, and MS Word desired.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • BS and 5+ years’ experience, MS and 3+ years’ experience desired.
