AMD’s Datacenter Ecosystems & Application Engineering (DEAE) team is looking for a self-driven DevOps Architect expert to enhance solutions and elevate customer experience with AMD EPYC Server Processors.  As a DevOps Architect expert, you will be responsible for enhancing the performance of AMD based solutions, create/test/document architectural designs that can support Day 0 workload placement to deliver scalable, secure, reusable, performant and maintainable solutions on AMD EPYC based servers.  Solutions will be developed in close collaboration with customer and partner teams to accomplish the goal of enhancing customer experience with AMD EPYC Server Processors.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with AMD technical architects, Field Engineers, Partners and Customers to understand, map, describe application requirements and platform capabilities to deliver secure, performant AMD EPYC platforms
  • Build and publish Application Centric workload and platform DevOps templates that specify, provision, test and validate AMD ‘best practice’ configurations
  • Enhance open source and other code to collect workload and platform profiles through the DevOps cycle to enable continuous service optimization AMD EPYC solutions
  • Leverage Benchmark performance, configurations, best practices for continuous service assurance and publish via open standards / practices
  • Provide technical mentorship to engineers on how DevOps automation is driving full stack delivery of services in the future service landscapes
  • Understand and present technical status updates to top management, peers, and engineering teams
  • Give innovative technical insight to development strategies, priorities, and approaches

 

 A successful candidate will employ established DevOps technologies to automate Software Defined Data Center concepts, system software and solution design expertise with technical leadership, to drive Customer Enablement, Migration and continuous optimization.   The candidate will leverage experience and horizontal management skills across multiple teams and companies to ensure on-time delivery of product goals and robust solutions. Candidates must possess the technical proficiency, seasoned presentation skills, and interpersonal confidence to clearly represent design ideas, complex problem descriptions and innovative solutions with experienced internal and external audiences

 

Preferred Experience

  • Deep understanding of DevOps and DevOps frameworks
  • Deep understanding of Software Defined Datacenter practices
  • Deep understanding of System Performance tuning
  • Strong analytical skills and debug methodology expected
  • Strong organization and communication skills with a proven track record of end-to-end project delivery
  • Experience in Bare Metal, Virtual, Cloud and Container based solutions architectures
  • Experience in data architectures to gather, analyze and automate collection of full stack data
  • External Customer engagement skills with 15+ years of experience preferred

 

 Academic Credentials

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant field
  • Master's Degree preferred
