As a member of the Compliance & Reliability Group, you will be involved in the field of Electromagnetic Compatibility and Radio Frequency Interference (EMC & RFI). This work will entail testing and analysis on state of art AMD ICs (APU, CPU, and GPU) and their associated reference design platforms – PCBs & Systems. You will be involved in maintaining the EMC & RFI Labs to the highest standard of quality and execution (ISO 9001). In this endeavor, you will have the opportunity to work side by side with highly qualified Architects in the EMC and RFI field.



The ideal candidate should have strong organizational and Lab management acumen, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. As a member of the EMC and RFI team, the ability to maintain deadlines and precision is imperative. Successful candidate will work in a dynamic engineering environment participating in a wide variety of challenging projects for the next generation AMD products.

Work with senior level team members:
•    To perform Electromagnetic Compatibility testing & far field analysis of AMD products in AMD’s Semi-Anechoic Room.
•    To perform Radio Frequency Interference testing & near field analysis of AMD products in AMD’s RFI lab.
•    To Assist in offsite Third-Party Electromagnetic Compatibility certification of AMD products.
•    If required, to perform simulation and develop models for root cause analysis for EMC/RFI issues utilizing 2.5-D/3-D full wave EM field solvers or other circuit simulation tools.    
1.    Strong computer skills with PC troubleshooting experience.

2.    Familiarity with hardware lab tools and other common lab equipment (oscilloscope, network analyzer, signal generators, spectrum analyzer, test receivers, antennas, etc.).
3.    Ability to solder and experience in board-level rework.

4.    Familiarity with Signal Integrity and Electromagnetic Compatibility Analysis tools (ANSOFT HFSS, ANSOFT SI-Wave, etc.) and CAD Layout tools.

5.    Familiarity with schematics, layout, and basic analog/digital circuit analysis.
6.    Must be a self-motivated contributor and a strong team player to support optimal team performance.
7.    Good interpersonal and communication skills.
