Senior Executive and Employee Communications Manager



AMD seeks a communications manager with shown experience in planning and executing and communications for a fast-paced, growing organization.


The person:

This person will drive communications for the DESG function (Data Center and Embedded Solutions Group) at AMD. Additionally, this person will drive key employee communications programs to increase employee engagement throughout the overall organization.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic contributor to the overall corporate communications team, providing both strategic direction and near-term execution for key employee communications as well as select external communications.

We are searching for someone that has shown success and capabilities in developing and executing strategic employee and external communications plans. You must also have experience working with leadership teams, with specific knowledge and experience in the high-performance computing markets being particularly valuable. The ability to collaborate with senior executives and their leadership teams, other communicators, business function leads, and employees to align communications programs across the company is essential. Key responsibilities:

  • Ability to think and communicate clearly. The ideal candidate will routinely research, write and build concise communications results to optimally communicate AMD’s brand, voice, style guide, and content strategy.
  • Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate ambiguous issues to build concise messaging and plans.
  • Track record of working closely with senior executives as an essential communications counselor on communications strategies and activities.
  • The ability to work effectively under deadlines and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Proven background crafting content and messaging for diverse internal/external audiences across a variety of formats; solid understanding of PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to collaborate, develop strong working relationships, and demonstrate horizontal leadership capabilities within a matrixed organization environment.
  • Dedication to analytics and using measurement to guide data-driven communications practices.


Academic credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and substantial year of corporate communications, internal communications, or public relations experience
