Customer Support Specialist for OEM and Distributor customers 

THE ROLE:

As the first point of contact for OEM and Distribution customers, the Customer Support Specialist is the face of AMD. This is a great opportunity to work for an industry-leading technology company!

This is a non-exempt, hourly position with benefits.  Candidate must be able to work from the AMD office (which is in south Austin) on a hybrid model (2+ days/week). We are only considering local candidates. 

 

THE PERSON:

As an experienced Customer Service Professional, you are passionate about putting customers first and ensuring 100% customer satisfaction. You work well under pressure and are a professional at resolving conflicts.   

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Backlog management: Order entry into SAP, change orders, ensure proper scheduling, work with scheduling and planning teams on improving delivery schedules, feedback to customers and sales
  • System reporting – responsible for running and updating several customer facing reports showing open orders and billings activity
  • Track and accelerate customers’ deliveries in cooperation with logistic department
  • Pricing management: entry of special price agreements into SAP
  • Returns management: check validity of return requests, entry of requests into SAP, follow up with logistics and quality department
  • Support Sales team with customer and process inquiries
  • Manage and update process documentation
  • Transactional support: SAP, Excel, Web tools 

 

IDEAL PERSON WILL HAVE:

  • Customer service experience with great attention to detail

  • Ability to resolve conflicts

  • Strong communicator

  • SAP Knowledge or similar tool is preferred

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (specifically Excel)

  • Flexibility and desire to work in an international environment

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
