Senior Developer Relations Manager – 77021


The Role:


AMD's Client Product Management team is looking for a Senior Developer Relations Manager to help drive the success of our technical and business relationship with AMD's Client Independent Hardware and Software Vendor partners. In a bi-directional capacity you will communicate and represent AMD's strategy, roadmap, and forward-looking initiatives to these partners. In addition, you will be learning, analyzing, and disseminating the partners' strategy, priorities, and product plans internally to AMD's Client Business Unit.


The Person:


As a Senior Developer Relations Manager, you are responsible building a productive and engaged relationship with partners, driving technology innovations to positive business outcomes, with experience in day-to-day management and communication of status to all stakeholders. You will use your ability influence and to work in close cooperation with internal teams at AMD to enlist the appropriate resources for partner engagement ensuring end-to-end solution planning for the success of AMD, AMD's partners, and AMD's customers.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Partners' interface with AMD product management, business development, product marketing, hardware, software, and platform engineering teams, and vice versa, to define and drive innovation projects to completion
  • Identify areas of risk and opportunity, manage conflicts, and collaboratively create mutually acceptable and industry differentiated solutions, as well as legal documents where necessary
  • Communicate program status, resourcing needs, decisions, actions, risk areas and mitigation plan effectively as the AMD champion for your partners.
  • Organizing and presenting technical and program reviews/status to AMD and partner executives, gathering forecast and design win information to build out business plans, and assessing long-term system and IP-level planning opportunities for roadmap collaboration
  • Manage partner content creation, promotion and co-marketing opportunities with AMD marketing, including communicating the value of AMD's worldwide audience and marketing channels for the partners' brand awareness and acceptance
  • Being able to identify and collaboratively drive clear areas of alignment and opportunities across all organizations is critical to this role.


Preferred Experience:


  • Proven technical knowledge of software, silicon, WLAN and WWAN technologies, PC architecture, OEM/ODM design-in criteria, and enablement and evaluation of key performance indicators (KPI) for end to end mobile computing solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under tight deadlines, responding to changing business and technical conditions while interfacing with customers, partners, and AMD cross-functional teams
  • Proven business acumen, including the ability to think strategically and make well-informed technical versus business trade-off recommendations
  • Must be well-organized, technically oriented, and a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and coordinate geographically distributed teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess strong application engineering or program management background coupled with a working knowledge of product management and marketing within a solutions company such as AMD.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25%
  • Excellent communication skills are a must.


Academic Credentials:


  • Bachelor’s or Graduate degree desired.
