* Internal Job Description            HR Technology SuccessFactors Sr HRIS Analyst

The Human Resources Technology (HRT) team at AMD is recognized as technical experts in providing creative, value added systems and solutions to meet Human Resources business needs. We are looking for a HRIS Sr Analyst to join our team to provide functional support for a variety of project and enhancement requests related to SuccessFactors Employee Central, SAP HCM, 3rd Party interfaces, and internal custom applications. The SuccessFactors Sr HRIS Analyst will report to the HR Operations Senior Manager as part of our AMD HR Technology team.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the subject matter expert and key advisor within SuccessFactors Employee Central and participates in projects and enhancements with the HR Technology team, the IT HR Support Team and the COE Subject Matter Experts:
    • Provides SuccessFactors Employee Central support and guidance as well as performs system administration functions.  Candidate should have strong knowledge in the following areas of Employee Central:
      • Role Based Permissions
        • Configurating of Permission Roles, Groups, etc.
      • Reporting
      • Field Level Configuration
      • Position Management
      • Configuring Business Rules
      • Configuring Foundation Objects and Workflows
      • Configuration of Employee Central Time Off a strong plus
        • Maintaining Time Off Structure (Time Types, etc)
        • Configuration of Time Off Rules, Accruals, etc
    • Responsible for monitoring internal and 3rd Party Interfaces (inbound/outbound), and trouble-shooting job failures and/or interface data discrepancies or issues
      • Responsible for managing and trouble-shooting issues with Employee Central / Time Management SAP HCM replication process
    • Serves as the primary liaison between the COE Business Users and IT Technical Team, to provide SAP HCM subject matter expertise to clarify requirements and system functionality
      • Facilitates and documents business requirements to ensure alignment between business requests and IT understanding and system capabilities
      • Translates requirements into system solutions (either through direct system configuration where applicable, or partnering with IT or a third-party resource for advanced configuration)
      • Develops viable and sustainable system solutions and processes to efficiently manage data entry, interfaces, and processes (either independently, or in collaboration wh HRT, IT, and/or COE SMEs)
      • Responsible for the end-to-end execution of project/enhancement life cycle, including as-is and to be analysis, scope definition, process improvement and testing
      • Develop business acumen to properly manage and document business requirements, build use cases, and testing scenarios
      • Ensure successful rollout and ongoing support of projects/enhancements
  • Responsible for managing SuccessFactors Employee Central change requests to accommodate Employee Central /Time Management functions and replications as well as business needs
  • Responsible for status updates on projects/enhancements and escalations of issues/risks as necessary
  • Functions as a team member within the department and organization, and performs assigned duties efficiently, and in timely manner

A successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SuccessFactors Employee Central
  • Exposure to SAP HCM is strongly recommended
  • Exposure to Success Factors Time Management is desirable
  • Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret HR systems technical and procedural documentation
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and effective solution design skills
  • Strong attention to detail and data analysis skills
  • Ability to execute deliverables in a timely and efficient manner, with quality results
  • Effective interpersonal skills across various levels of the organization
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong documentation skills are required
  • Ability to work independently, and execute against deliverables in a high volume, high-paced environment
  • Possesses strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively, professionally, cooperatively and efficiently within a team environment
  • Expertise in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Bachelor or advanced degree preferred
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of HRIT related experience
