Senior Client Component Product Manager/ Business Development

THE ROLE:

Are you a technologist who has a passion for building and communicating a great product portfolio?  This role is focused on growing the Client Commercial Channel Business.  As the business leader, you are responsible for creating, executing, and maintaining a portfolio plan for the Client Commercial Channel Business.

 

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will have an extensive technical understanding and experience in product management/marketing in PC computing products with experience in platforms, silicon, and the software ecosystem that enables them.  Success in the role requires strong leadership skills to motivate and engage a team of engineering, marketing, product management, and business development professionals to achieve the goals of the product.  Candidates are expected to have significant experience in the following areas:

 

  • Business acumen – The ability to analyze markets, create business cases, develop pricing strategies, and build product transition strategies.

 

  • Product Leadership – The ability to define a product, articulate its value proposition, and drive across the company to execute on that product vision.

 

  • Technical depth – The ability to create, maintain and communicate a roadmap of products, enhancements, and offerings that will lead to improved market competitiveness and ultimately market share growth.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead Product Manager responsible for growing the Client Channel Business
  • Create, execute, and maintain a business plan for the Client Channel Business
  • Create and maintain a roadmap of products, enhancements, and offerings that will lead to improved market competitiveness and ultimately market share growth.
  • Accountability for accurately capturing customer requirements and translating them to product requirements.
  • Work closely with global account teams and technical leadership to build programs that accelerate the adoption of AMD platforms, including generating technical content and white papers.
  • Develop new and maintain existing business models
  • Provide market analysis and recommendations on client product roadmap and direction.
  • Work closely with AMD Client product team to maximize product performance, innovation, and competitive positioning.
  • Work closely with Marketing group to align product strategy to appropriate markets for optimum solutions messaging

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior experience in Product Marketing, Product Management or Business Development within a high-tech or PC company.
  • Experience working with Motherboard companies/Commercial PC or System Integrators is important
  • Must have a passion for innovation, be comfortable defining a way forward in the face of ambiguity, and have the ability to scale and influence broadly

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Business or Technical degree is required; Graduate degree desired.
