THE ROLE:

The Go-To-Market (GTM) Marketing Manager will work with one or more OEMs in helping to drive to a coherent and long lasting GTM strategy and goals for their AMD EPYC based servers, work tightly with the AMD Global account team in develop co-marketing strategies to achieve those goals, and manage priorities and implement marketing programs that impact AMD’s and OEM’s marketing and sales plans working tightly with the OEM partners product management, product marketing, field marketing, and sales. The GTM marketing manager will create, deepen and broaden relationships with key marketing, alliance and product partners within OEM.

THE PERSON:

The candidate will need to be prepared to jump in, take the lead and learn quickly. The candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively, plus be highly organized and have interpersonal skills. The candidate will need to effectively understand OEM objectives and translate AMD’s objective into relevant co-marketing strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Extend AMD’s reach through increased strategic co-marketing initiatives
  2. Create strong links and relationships between AMD and OEM consumer marketing engines, Alliances and launch teams
  3. Develop and manage WW co-marketing funds and program terms; Communicate strategy and fund guidelines to regions and own WW plan roll-ups
  4. Align AMD planning cycles with OEM’s timelines and drive AMD brand and value proposition within OEM led content and consumer marketing engine
  5. Work and collaborate in lockstep with AMD Global Account Management teams and Regional teams to drive co-marketing programs designed to drive demand and sales velocity through several channels including digital, retail, training, events and more.
  6. Be the primary interface representing the OEM within AMD’s internal marketing forums to drive OEM’s needs internally and be the primary marketing interface directly with the OEM representing AMD
  7. Ensure that OEM is represented in AMD’s marketing efforts (product launches, website, etc.) and lead execution of launch activities of key platforms
  8. Be knowledgeable about the dynamics of the OEM’s organization to understand their goals, pain points, and opportunities to better enhance AMD’s marketing effectiveness & integration within OEM campaigns
  9. Ensure timely and relevant communications about AMD products and other updates to the OEM marketing, Alliances and product contacts
  10. Work with AMD’s teams and with OEM to measure the effectiveness of programs and be able to apply learnings for future programs

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience at one or more server OEM’s in product marketing management or field marketing. 
  • Technical and business acumen in the datacenter space with a strong understanding of end to end sales and marketing motions at OEM’s.
  • Self-motivated and prepared to jump in and lead
  • Exceptional presentation, communication and storytelling ability in presentation formats and verbally
  • A proven track record of keeping projects on schedule and within budget
  • Strong background in marketing fundamentals (Budget and contract management experience)
  • A strong and in-depth understanding of OEM marketing and sales structure and their ways of operations
  • Experience in a customer-facing or account management role
  • Ability to meet challenging timelines
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Thorough understanding of current marketing strategies, digital platforms, and trends
  • Experience utilizing market research and market data to develop marketing strategies and programs
  • Creative problem solving and accountability
  • Sharp, responsible, and highly organized
  • Ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks effectively

OTHER KEY INDICATORS FOR SUCCESS

  1. Essential conduit between all key internal and partner stakeholders tasked with driving collective business priorities and objectives
  2. Serve as key interface and communication bridge between AMD and our data center partners to support and execute the flawless launch of AMD based server portfolios
  3. Drive all go to market and sales enablement activities to successfully launch and ramp the AMD partner server portfolio
  4. Arm all key partner and internal stakeholders with clear understanding of EPYC differentiators and positioning by clearly communicating the AMD value prop and ensuring cohesive messaging and consistency across all assets and deliverables throughout development, launch, and ramp
  5. Enable the partner and internal sales force with comprehensive suite of impactful and substantiated collateral that showcases the AMD EPYC advantage to customers based on key workload focus areas and influences customer adoption
  6. Drive training to enable proactive, informed sales force
  7. Create and execute joint benchmark and performance testing to enable availability of compelling and proven certifications, claims, and world records at time of launch and throughout the lifecycle of the server and solutions portfolio
  8. Generate and execute joint and compelling workload focused sales plays and programs augmented with incentives, campaigns, training, and impactful, digestible, results driven content and collateral
  9. Drive integration AMD platforms into all partner sales tools and programs
  10. Support all partner, customer, and industry events and serve as AMD ambassador to increase awareness and consideration with end customers
  11. Support sales teams to drive pipeline growth and conversion
  12. Strategically prioritize, allocate, manage, execute, and track partner marketing funds to support activities with highest potential ROI and revenue impact
  13. Drive alignment across all cross functional internal and partner teams to ensure alignment on spending plans, track and report execution status, and ensure partner adherence to AMD marketing operations guidelines.
  14. Serve as key conduit between partner and internal operations team to streamline MDF governance process
  15. Execute joint solutions roadmap
  16. Drive engagement and relationship with strategic partners to maximize their customer experience
  17. Drive communication and collaboration, build trust and transparency, and integrate AMD into partner’s business processesto ensure TTM launch of AMD based server portfolios and solutions
  18. Key stakeholders:
    1. AMD: GAM team [WW, NA, GC, EMEA], Sales in GAM, AMD FAE team, regional marketing teams, business development, operations, BU marketing and product managements, PR, social media, web, corporate events
    2. Partner: alliances management, funded heads, regional marketing, PG marketing, PG technical marketing, product management, solutions teams, outbound marketing
