Senior Manager, Program Management – HPC / Datacenter / Machine Learning

 

THE ROLE:

Interested in working on what will be the world’s fastest supercomputer?  The first priority for this Sr. Program Manager is the Frontier Supercomputer built by Cray with AMD CPU and AMD GPU. This is a once in a career opportunity!   

 

THE PERSON:

The candidate should be a proven leader able create and maintain a working cross functional team and manage in a matrixed environment. A successful candidate must have exceptional verbal, as well as written, communication skills. In addition, the role requires outstanding people management skills to lead, motivate, and guide world class engineers.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and drive joint CPU and GPU development schedules to enable AMD success in Data Center, HPC, and machine learning customers
  • Work directly with strategic AMD customers to develop world class CPU+GPU solutions.
  • Report out to AMD executives on status of programs.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant working experience in new product development from a design, platform, software/firmware and/or program management discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience either as a technical lead or as a program manager.
  • Strong understanding of the general silicon engineering process, from concept to tape-out to production
  • Experience is in high performance CPU and/or GPU.
  • Ability to scope a program end to end
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to structure and execute complex analysis, draw insights, and communicate summary findings/recommendations to senior management
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize, and juggle multiple work streams to tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of system architecture of large-scale compute systems
  • Knowledge of critical software components for large scale compute systems
  • Knowledge of architecture of CPU and/or GPU high end processors

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • BSEE; MSEE preferred.
