Sr. Market Development Manager

The Role:

AMD is currently looking for a Manger of OEM Solutions Development to be a critical enabler of AMD EPYC-based OEM solutions. The requisition is for a role within the Enterprise and HPC Business Group which is part of the Server Business Unit. The role is customer-facing and will focus primarily on one of AMD’s largest OEM partners in the US. This individual will be responsible for collaborating with the OEM to identify and enable a portfolio of critical HCI, Data Analytics and other solutions, as well as building a winning solution GTM strategy.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of abilities and skills, including: in depth understanding of HCI and Data Analytics Solutions, CPU product knowledge, server architecture awareness, strong marketing and presentation skills, solid understanding of customers’ business and decision makers, and strong group leadership to drive progress with the OEM. You must be self-driven, and capable of operating autonomously. The applicant must be a great teammate with a commitment to meeting deadlines and an aptitude to thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a drive a solutions roadmap ideally aligned to AMD EPYC’s strengths and the OEM server portfolio
  • Identify and establish relationships with the OEM solutions decision makers and product groups
  • Work closely as part of a team aligned on supporting and enabling this key OEM
  • Work closely with AMD and OEM sales and marketing teams to develop and execute solutions-based GTM plays
  • Work with AMD or OEM Business develop teams to build training and positioning content

Preferred Experience:

  • proven experience in the computing industry, at the OEM, ODM, or technology provider level
  • demonstrated ability in a customer-facing role
  • Knowledge of modern server platform architecture
  • Outstanding written, verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and balance multiple simultaneous projects
  • Highly results driven
  • BS, or higher, in Engineering (Computer or Electrical) or Business strongly preferred
  • Executive presentation skills to multiple partners: customers, analysts, technical specialists and business leaders.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.


Austin, TX. Some travel (up to 25%), including international, is expected.
