Senior Product Lead 

 

THE ROLE:

The Data Center Power Performance Attainment team develops and maintains final specifications for the GPU product family suite. This would include Performance characterization and optimization, Benchmark testing for marketing collateral and product definition comprising of HW/FW features, power-voltage-frequency curve, guardbands, and final yield.

This person would have a past history of being a self-starter with excellent communication skills, highly motivated with a product orientated mindset, ability to multitask and delegate appropriately, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Deliver the product definition for AMD’s Machine Learning Accelerator products
  • Product first mindset to deliver the best value in terms of power and performance to AMD's customers
  • Engage with design, product and validation teams during pre-silicon planning, post-silicon bring-up, product definition, product validation, and production ramp
  • Involved in the pre-silicon and post-silicon phases of the design
  • Lead planning activities and developing creative solutions and processes to meet aggressive post-silicon schedules while working intimately with silicon design engineers and platform design engineers to attain product requirement for frequency, power and performance
  • Assist customer engineering to address customer design issues
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams in silicon design, board design engineering, software, program management, customer engineering, product engineering and reliability engineering to develop the most compelling Machine Learning Accelerator products in the market

 

Preferred Experience

 

  • Strong technical background in Machine learning accelerators and/or Graphics Processing Units
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, analytical and organizational skills are a must
  • Knowledge across high-speed digital design, analog design, laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc), memory interfaces, bus interfaces, silicon manufacturing and testing, silicon verification, failure analysis, and application engineering
  • VHDL/Verilog and C/C++ knowledge an asset
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are required for writing reports and e-mails and conducting meetings.
  • Program management experience in a cross functional setting is a strong plus

 

Education

 

  • B. Sc. in Electrical/Computer Engineering
  • MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Minimum 8 years of work experience
