Senior Product Manager, AMD Embedded Solutions

AMD is looking for a highly talented Senior Product Manager to own the Legacy and Sustaining APU, CPU and dGPU product portfolio within AMD's Embedded Business Unit. This is an exciting time to join AMD’s Embedded team. You will be responsible for owning and driving the “Whole Product” including Silicon, Customer Reference Solutions, our Software and Enablement Ecosystem, plus managing our on-going Inventory. You will ensure our products remain positioned to win in the embedded markets by working directly with AMD Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales and Business operations. You will ensure that our products exceed the business and technical expectations set during NPI phases by driving our product say-do program.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Product owner for the portfolio of Embedded Legacy and Sustaining solutions. Accountability to ensure that products and solutions have the appropriate features and performance characteristics and are positioned to win.
  • Provide the strategic and long-term vision, and recommendations on how to direct our roadmap.
  • Understand APU, CPU and SOC technologies, embedded market trends and customer needs that will drive business decisions for optimal revenue and market growth.
  • Drive competitive analysis and benchmark strategies to ensure positioning of all AMD’s Embedded solutions.
  • Interface with end customers, partners, market and technical leadership to define the embedded solution requirements.
  • Interface with AMD internal teams over the AMD product life cycle.
  • Provide support and assistance to the Product Marketing teams on product specific activities. Ensuring the vertical requirements are met and aligning with the horizontally driven product.
  • Work with the ecosystem partners and appropriate AMD engineering teams to augment AMD solutions with technical collateral, such as documentation, sample/reference code and tools, FAE and customer trainings to enable easy productization of customer systems.
  • Train and enable internal and customer teams with critical knowledge of AMD embedded APU solutions and drive best practices to reduce time-to-revenue and scale business.
  • Provide product and technology feedback from customers into roadmap planning process.
  • Define and own the process to track and enable the product management say-do analysis.
  • Define and own the process to drive and manage our inventory consumption.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of technical product management experience in the Semiconductor market.
  • A deep understanding of the embedded APU or CPU market and its unique needs that includes, trends, customer applications and of semiconductor design cycles.
  • Knowledge of the Networking and Storage markets is highly advantageous.
  • Must have a graduate engineering degree and/or MBA.
  • Experienced in presenting to and influencing senior technical and business leaders.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing globally distributed multi-site, multi-cultural teams.
  • Agile and adaptable to changing business requirements, with the ability to travel as needed.
  • Team player with passion and tenacity to deliver whatever it takes for business success.
  • Excellent communication and evangelizing skills with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive team results.
