THE ROLE:

AMD is looking for a highly talented Senior Software Product Manager to own the definition and delivery of the next generation of software solutions within AMD's Embedded Business Unit. As Senior Software Product Manager you will be responsible for owning and driving the complete definition and delivery of the “Whole Software Roadmap” across the Embedded Business Unit including defining software solutions for our key market segments that include Automotive, Networking and Storage segments plus you will own Ecosystem partnerships.

 

THE PERSON:

You will ensure our software products are positioned to win our markets by working directly with AMD engineering, Segment Marketing and Sales and closely interacting with partners to ensure a winning solution.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Product owner for the portfolio of embedded software solutions. Accountability to ensure that software products and solutions have the appropriate features and performance characteristics and are positioned to win.
  • Understand software solution trends and customer needs in our key market segments, driving business decisions for optimal revenue and market growth.
  • Provide strategic and long-term vision to drive and define the software roadmap by interfacing with end customers, partners, market and technical leadership.
  • Drive product requirements for solutions identified for inclusion in the software roadmap and own the product requirements document.
  • Provide support and assistance to the got to market teams on software specific activities, ensuring the vertical requirements are met.
  • Work with the ecosystem partners and appropriate AMD engineering teams to augment AMD solutions with technical collateral, such as documentation, sample/reference code and tools, FAE and customer trainings to enable easy productization of customer systems.
  • Train and enable internal and customer teams with critical knowledge of AMD embedded software solutions and drive best practices to reduce time-to-revenue and scale business.
  • Provide product and technology feedback from customers into roadmap planning process.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of technical product management experience desired in the Semiconductor market, with a focus on software
  • Experienced in presenting to and influencing senior technical and business leaders
  • Proven experience in leading and managing globally distributed multi-site, multi-cultural teams
  • Agile and adaptable to changing business requirements, with the ability to travel as needed
  • Team player with passion and tenacity to deliver whatever it takes for business success
  • Excellent communication and evangelizing skills with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive team results
  • Experience in the Automotive segment with Android Automotive, Automotive Grade Linux and Virtualization Software is preferable

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • A graduate Engineering degree and/or MBA
