Sr Product Marketing Manager

The Role:

Commercial client business is one of the most important directions for AMD’s business growth. We are developing products that power critical missions and tasks in Enterprise and SMB.  We are seeking a passionate and skilled Commercial Product Marketing Manager to take our  ”Ryzen for Business” story to the next level.

As a Sr Product Marketing Manager, you will be a Customer Advocate responsible for both inbound and outbound product marketing messaging and plan for the commercial segment CPU/APU products and key technologies such as security and manageability.  You will create messaging documents, devise sales support materials for Commercial segment stakeholders and Sales teams, educate and help them deliver the message to customers and industry influencers, and be the evangelist for commercial client products and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

This critical role is chartered with responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Develop comprehensive messaging, positioning, product marketing plan and sales enablement assets for commercial client processors, platforms, and technologies including but not limited to security, manageability, and connectivity
  • Command a thorough knowledge of PC security, manageability, wireless connectivity, and AMD silicon, firmware, BIOS, and system capabilities applicable  to commercial clients and portray value to our commercial customers
  • Create product marketing and GTM strategy, value proposition, and thought leadership for commercial client products and opportunities, working in close collaboration with corporate marketing and sales.
  • Understand commercial buyer/user personas and develop targeting plans to drive growth
  • Develop sales tools and enablers that support buyer and customer journey (e.g. presentations, training video content, product/solution guides, blogs, media briefings, trainings, etc)
  • Understand competitive environment and position our products and technologies to win.  Develop a competitive strategy and execution plan around commercial segment products and technologies.
  • Lead cross-functional areas to help generate strong momentum ahead of new product launches as well as throughout the product lifecycle for commercial segment
  • Provide  training to marketing and sales teams as needed - communicate value proposition, competitive advantage, and winning approach
  • Represent AMD in industry conferences and thought leadership activities
  • Build and sustain analyst conversations to help differentiate our products
  • Track and report to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders on product marketing plan results and successes


Preferred Experience:

  • 7+ years product/technical marketing experience for PC or semiconductor companies; experience in PC security and manageability a plus
  • Proven history of creating effective messaging, product positioning, marketing programs, and GTM content
  • Ability to evangelize products and communicate key benefits to internal and external stakeholders (including being on-camera for educational videos, webinars, presentations)
  • Seasoned creative writer with expertise developing lean and effective messaging, presentations, and written content such as blogs and tech papers.


Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
  • MBA or equivalent experience
